Tiger Crane Combination Kung Fu

Discover Tiger Crane Combination Kung Fu at Kung Fu Zone, rooted in South Shaolin traditions. Here, you’ll delve into short, low-rooted stances, paving the way for powerful, swift attacks. Training here is a holistic journey, strengthening both body and mind.

Our system, a part of the Southern Five Ancestor Fist tradition, embraces the teachings of Yong Chun White Crane and Taizu (Grand Ancestor) Fist, enriched with elements from Shaolin Lohan, Da Mo, and Monkey styles.

Learning unfolds through forms—set routines that introduce you to the system’s principles and techniques. Our syllabus comprises sixteen forms, with the foundational San Zhan form introduced early on. Each form, whether freehand or with weapons, is a step towards mastering this ancient martial art.

Join us for a warm and enriching experience, where each class is not just a martial arts lesson, but a step towards self-discovery in a welcoming community.

Shuang Yang Tai Chi

Explore the soothing yet potent Shuang Yang Tai Chi system, a beautiful blend of gentle movement and inner strength created by Shaolin warrior monks. Shuang Yang, also known as ‘Frost and Sun White Crane Soft Fist,’ signifies the harmony of opposites, embodying the Daoist principles of Yin and Yang, encapsulated in fluid, graceful motions.

Our Shuang Yang Tai Chi system, deeply rooted in Chan Buddhism, unfolds a 66-posture form, where each posture seamlessly transitions into the next, portraying the elegant movements of the White Crane. Originating from the esteemed Shaolin Temple, this form is a poetic dance between strength and softness, leading practitioners on a meditative journey of self-exploration and holistic wellness. As you advance through the curriculum, a rich tapestry of more complex freehand and weapons forms awaits exploration.

At the heart of Shuang Yang Tai Chi is the emphasis on cultivating a soft, relaxed, yet powerfully grounded stance. Through gentle, flowing routines, practitioners are guided to open their meridians, training elasticity into the tendons, and nurturing a harmonious connection between mind, body, and spirit. This ‘meditation in motion’ enhances physical suppleness and mental clarity, while also serving as a potent martial art system, exploring the art of relaxed power and precise, effective striking and grappling techniques.

Join us in embracing the tranquil yet transformative energy of Shuang Yang Tai Chi, nurturing your path towards a balanced, resilient, and serene state of being.

Sanda (Chinese Kickboxing)

Our sparring classes allow you to put your training to the test against an uncooperative partner in a safe, controlled environment. Under expert supervision, these sessions simulate realistic self-defence scenarios, enabling you to apply the martial arts principles and techniques you’ve learned in a practical setting.

Sparring is not just a physical challenge; it’s about becoming adept at managing pressure, honing a calm and collected demeanour in challenging situations. The dynamic nature of sparring sharpens your reflexes and enhances your decision-making skills, fostering a more composed mind.

Additionally, sparring is a great way to keep fit. The energetic exchanges during sparring not only polish your martial skills but also provide a vigorous workout, enhancing your cardiovascular endurance and overall physical conditioning.

Strength & Conditioning

Our Strength and Conditioning classes utilise High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) coupled with bodyweight exercises, to target every muscle group, promoting a fit, strong, and toned physique. The training is not just physical; it’s a route towards mental resilience too. Through challenging yet rewarding workouts, you’ll cultivate a robust mind alongside a capable body. Our classes are designed to sculpt your physique, ignite your metabolism, and foster a mindset ready to tackle life’s challenges with vigour.
